Windows XP & 7

    Hi, can anyone tell me in what language are window xp and windows7 software written? If its visual basic, which type?

    Definitely not Visual Basic, it's made by Microsoft!

    It's a combination of C and C++ if I'm not mistaken.

    When portions of Windows 2000's source code was leaked on the net, it was bits of C and C++.

    It's a combination of assembler, C, and C++.

    The core of windows XP & 7 is ANSI C(still), however it is also a mix of some other languages like VB.NET, c# to design the basic navigation option in the XP.

    No not all VB or the likely stuff. Windows like other Operating systems is written in Assembly, C and C++, for obvious reasons ofcourse.
