Boy, this sure is interesting... wifi enabled camera? Immediately transmit images wirelessly to a printer or computer? Sweet Kinda like the look of the P1 Nikon though, reminds me of the look of the Nikon F-series.. the 35mm SLRs.
Nikon first introduced wifi connectivity via an optional connector to their Nikon D2H and eventually the D2X Sony too had a digicam with wifi capabilities. Canon too had the same solution for their 1DsMKII DSLR. And the coolest part of these wifi connectivity is that you can set them to automatically connect to an FTP server and automatically upload all the shot u take directly there! Extremely cool!
Pity the celebrities, they're gonna have a hard time... Imagine the paparazzis getting hold on one of those!
LOL. But i know the pros use this for sports coverage. photographers do their job on the field, editors vet it all and directly submit for posting.
The only thing is.. they need to provide WiFi coverage in the area, and you must have access to the WiFi network.
Nowadays getting WiFi access is not a problem anymore. There are so many Wifi spots everywhere, chances are you can get some unrestricted ones.. or you can crack the key before hand
well, the point of having a wifi connection is for special coverage mah... but for P&S... not really useful lo, but like the press release says.. meant for wifi connection to printers etc only... lol
Awesome, but can you transfer them directly to your computer after youve taken the pic? or do you have to do it manually?
