    This is my new build. 1st pass is usually 20-30% cpu usage. 2nd pass never really maxes all the cores out, so I like the results :)

    I like the temperatures too :)

    It would be nice to have a benchmark for 64-bit mode (+ another 10% in performance :) ). Usage of DGDecode.dll does not allow to use [email protected] :(

    NOTE: The following results have been obtained using 64-bit versions of x264, AviSynth etc.
    Some 64-bit versions of required DLL files are very old (2006 year) and may not be optimized to use advantages of modern CPU's, but the results are still interesting to compare to 32-bit mode ( http://forums.techarp.com/reviews-articles/25637-x264-hd-benchmark-3-0-a-5.html#post355565 ).

    Here are the results inside a virtual machine with 4 cores. Host stayed right at 25% cpu usage, so with 4 virtual machines running, it should max out all my cores.

    x264 HD Benchmark 3.05

    The new x264 HD Benchmark 3.0 is here!

    This is the improved version of the x264 HD Benchmark 2.0 benchmark which has become a standard CPU benchmark for Tech ARP as well as many other hardware enthusiasts.

    The new x264 HD Benchmark 3.0 ups the ante by using the latest r1342 x264 encoder as well as other changes under the hood. This makes the x264 HD Benchmark 3.0 the new best tool for testing the full capabilities of modern multi-core processors.

    Do note that due to the changes, the results from x264 HD Benchmark 3.0 are NOT comparable with results from older versions of the benchmark.

    In addition to the release of the benchmark, we will be compiling benchmark results for this new version. So please contribute your new benchmark results to this project! :beer:

    Hmm, Phenom 955 BE perform better than 965 BE? Is it due to it using DDR3 compared to the latter using DDR2?

    But in your 'improved' results, that means taking average right. Would it be a good comparison then? I uploaded my 955 BE results couple of posts above, but I was using HyperX DDR2, so putting DDR3 in the benchie result could mislead the users?
