x264 HD Benchmark 4.0

    CPU-Z does not have time to write a system_details.txt. At first time when the bench_script.bat run, the System Details section remains empty. At second time the System Details section gets data from the old system_details.txt.

    I think that much more significant is one-thread performance. Decoding uses only one thread and maybe it is bottleneck in the Pass 1. Also, x264 does not have a good multi-thread support in fast settings: http://git.videolan.org/?p=x264.git;a=blob_plain;f=doc/threads.txt;hb=HEAD

    Something like this could be better in the next version:

    x264 --quiet --thread-input --preset slow --crf 18 -o NUL test-720p.avs

    Is there any other reason to use the AVS than repeat twice the video?

    FFMS is slightly faster and does not need DLLs:

    AMD FX(tm)-8150 Eight-Core Processor (unoverclocked)

    This week I had a chance to get my hands on one of the brand spanking new AMD FX Eight Core Bulldozers.

    At stock clock it was just a little faster than the 1090T I tested a few months ago. It was cooled by the Corsair Hydro H100.

    It averages at 74,4725fps over two passes.

    AMD FX(tm)-8150 Eight-Core Processor ([email protected])

    After this I juiced it up to 4.6GHz wich let it run a little bit hotter but the Corsair Hyrdo kept it at 70°C :thumb:

    This way it averaged 92,11fps overall.

    Hello to all

    I try to run X264 V3 or V4 ans still have an issue with "Avisynth 2.2.8 not installed" and I am redirected to Avisynth download.

    Avisynth is alreday installed (Downloaded recently from the link).

    Apparently nothing change.

    Tried to run directly the batch file but the result is still the same. tried Google too, but I was not cery succesfull.

    Any help will be appreciated.
