    RE: missing Avisynth-Problem

    Well, the batch file simply checks if the "Avisynth 2.5" folder exists in %PROGRAMFILES% or %PROGRAMFILES(x86)%. Maybe there's something odd with your system variables.

    After copying the files avisynth.dll and devil.dll from your %WINDIR%\system32 folder to the x264 bench "test" folder insert the following into your batch file above everything else:

    if exist "%~dp0\test\avisynth.dll" goto start

    This little trick neatly solved my problem of me having to let the x264-benchmark run TWICE on every single machine because the system_details.txt was not written properly after the first run. :wall:

    The directory was Avisynt. After renaming in Avisynt 2.5 it works now.

    The XP SP2 fresh install was probably doing some background updating or something that lowered the first pass fps.

    I made my own version of x264 benchmark using 2.5 minute SD source and CRF, preset slower.

    SD is not good for general testing because SD undermines the effectiveness of multi-core processors.
