  2. All you guys seem to have pretty good results.... kind of jealous. I gave it the what the heck and let my pc run for 10 hours or so to do this benchmark. Even exited and shutoff my antivirus and stuff. Meh.... You guys with your i5 and i7s taunting me.

All the x64 results posted so far are arguably invalid, since DGDecode64 is doubling the number of frames, with every other frame being green and corrupt. That's why all the x64 results posted so far have 11812 frames, when the actual AVS should only produce 5906 frames like the x86 results.

Sorry for the late reply, just got back from an outstation trip. Thanks for notifying us. We will look into this ASAP.

the problem with the file test-1080p.mpg.

presumably dgdecode64 not working correctly with video files encoded in MPEG1.

Hmm.. Not dgdecode64 itself? Sorry, I've been busy with other work. Haven't had the time to play around and pinpoint the problem yet... :(

  12. Well i just bought a new laptop. I still have my Pc that got bench marked on the previous page. It sucks, now my new one kicks its butt! BTW that second pass is insane, thats what takes up practically all the time. Took my old pc 10-ish hours, took my new one an hour and a half-ish. I should also add that i really dont know if i have turbo core enabled in this DV6 or not. I cant find anything in the BIOS.

Also.... Temp 0, Running too hot? what does temp 0 tell you the temp of?

    Can I swap out x264.exe

I used to be able to do this but ran into problems.

Should I be able to compile the latest x264 build and just drop it into the test folder and rename?

    thx

You should be able to do that (if they didn't make any setting changes), but the results will NOT be comparable.
