I don't remember what I wanted last year...and apparently the list was in my sig

This year I'm definitely getting a pair of bookshelf speakers
Looking at a few options...Usher S-520, Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo 1 (sounds very ricey o_O), Paradigm Atoms or maybe Infinity Primus 162.

I was in your position a few years ago and got the cheap Wharfedale instead since it wasn't easy to find what you have stated.

Actually I have to add on mine (you just reminded me).

Marantz SR-4002, Paradigm Mini Monitors, Paradigm PDR-10.

But thats depends on when/if I can move into a house (I hate apartments)

All the above are actually available in Singapore, the issue is whether the dealers will entertain a fella who walks into a high-end audio store and looks like he's 17 or 18 :haha:

But I did manage to audition a few on Friday, the Paradigm Atoms, JMLabs Chorus 706, Usher S520 and Monitor Audio BR2. Sad to say, all fell short of my expectations

One of the salesmen even commented that to match the sound quality of my $120 headphones, he thinks I have to spend a few thousand :faint:

The search continues...turning my attention to floorstanders now because they might be able to give me the bass response which I found lacking in all those bookshelves (among other aspects).

Yeah, fidelity for headphones is a LOT cheaper then fidelity for speakers. :(

Bookshelf can give really good bass response if you use proper stands. Of course, you can't expect very low bass response.

Just to get thread back onto the topic.

    What I'd like to get;

-Enroll into an Advanced Driving Course.

-Get my car tinted with the darkest legal tint (Rear windows) & a lighter tint for the front side windows).

-Get a new bottle of Meguiars Gold Class wax (or maybe a couple.), Clay bar, PlasticX, Widow cleaner & the other relavant car care products.

-Install some soundproofing materials into the RAV4.

-OEM indicator/ foglight assembly & light control stalk from the top-spec RAV4 Cruiser.

-Amber front & rear footwell lights.

-Modicoat some of the interior trim.

-A trunk light positioned at the side (Under the area covered by the tonneau cover).

-Touch up scratches on the RAV4.

-Color code the bumpers & door handles.

-Either 16 inch 1997 JZS160 Toyota Aristo S300 wheels or 16 inch 2002 Toyota Camry 2.4V (ASEAN spec) wheels.

-Car Emergency Kit (Warning triangle, first aid kit, flare, jumper cables, torch light & etc).

-Used 2004 Aussie-spec RAV4 head unit from Cash Converters or a car audio shop, so that I can play Mp3s & not worry about it looking out of place in the interior.

-Order an Auto-dimming mirror from the U.S.

-Import a RAV4J 2.0 AeroSport bodyshell either from Malaysia, Thailand, Japan or Russia. Use the engine, ABS module, sensor (Plus all the other necessary hardware>), bodykit, rear tailgate & bee sting antenna.

-Import Tan-colored interior parts (Including the seats & the climate control panel, module & outside temp. sensor) from a RAV4J/ RAV4L X "G Edition".

-Upgrade to an Eclipse Fujitsu Ten In-Dash NAV unit one day down the road. Install the Eclipse FEC104 (Or a newer model.) front blindspot & BEC103 (Or a newer model.) rear view cam.

    Dream on TF, dream on........
