Well you can but I prefer to respect their wishes, besides it's only RMB2 about RM1 only. I had some asking for RMB10 but those work for shops with nice costume and everything, you dare to shoot them without their consent they probably sent the whole village after you. PS: if I brought my 70-200 then could have sniped lar but I didn't.
Seriously??? When I was in China, I was really hesitant about taking photos of the locals. Didn't want to end up in the infamous Chinese legal system.
Yup, I kept on hearing that if u take pics of a pretty lady, her bf might be around the corner asking u to payup. That's why i hesitated also.
Because I have been sitting there looking around, checked every corner, and when the time came...sniped.
This is probably one aspect in which point and shoot cameras are better. Heh.. You can point the camera in one direction and snipe using the swivel LCD.
