Actually, that lady is his accomplice. It's so obvious. He intentionally chose the first girl just to give them the impression that it doesn't matter who gets chosen. Then he says she's too short. Odd, isn't it? The trick doesn't seem to require anyone of any particular height. So, he chooses a girl that's very much taller. An accomplice. She's really quite tall, isn't she? I wonder why... Look at what happens after she "splits". Instead of being utterly horrified at being split and even fainting, she ran away... Amazing...
