Yep Chai is right its like anything new consumers (including me) usually wait a bit for the prices to come down
Prices are falling. Meanwhile, I'm getting ready to buy another (family 'took' the other one) PS3 in July (MGS4!!!!).
a PS3 is cheaper and has a built in blu-ray player lol and they wonder why their sales of bluray players are low
I wonder if those stats include PS3 sales...? Even so, you can't blame people for so far avoiding the Blu-Ray format... The format war just ended, and most people are just learning about HD and whatnot. I look towards the holiday season for falling prices and some great deals for Blu-Ray stuff. By then, I should have added a Blu-Ray player to my household (be it stand-alone of PS3 )
hoping to buy ps3 after exams. i heard most games are region free, is that true? to stay on topic, ps3 blu ray players are not region free
Well, yeah..Currently the cheapest Blu-Ray player will be a PS3. At least PS3 is able to game and watch movies also ..Speaking of PSP, If it's equipped with Custom Firmware, region will not be a problem + not that i don't support original but playing a game on a umd disk is both noisy and slow at the same time So..CFW (Custom Firmware) FTW (For The Win)!
Well, even the respond of HD dvd was not really being sold well world wide..I don't remembering see HD DVDs being sold in malaysia unless someone imported them :/
HD DVDs have been pulled from most of the stores here. They were pulled back to be scrapped along with all of the players by Toshiba.
hahahahahahaha shame on HD DVD. my loyalty goes with playstation and sony (playstation generation) and xbox can get it from the side this time XD
Cheaper stand-alone Blu-Ray players are on the way... They will retail for around US$399 and a few should retail for a bit lower than that
