    am not a gamer here but I have a few games that I would love to try.

    would love a min fps of 30, at 1920x1080. I don't need ultra high graphics setting. High is good enough. NV 460 and ATI 6870, 6890, and 6950, which one would you recommend.

    also, ever since I upgraded to FF4 (and subsequently FF5), my NV driver has been giving my a lot of stability issues. I'm not sure if my card is dying or it's a problem with FF4/5 + NV driver. I would definitely get an ati card if the latter was the case.

    Any one of the cards will do just fine. Depends of the rest of the system you have and the budget.

    I'm not sure what kind of games do you play, but most cards should handle that easily these days.
