LOL, Instant BSOD as soon as I press the "delete" key, I repeated like 4-5 times and got the same thing, no idea what went wrong. It didn't happen in safe mode though, I can delete the file normally :faint:

I didn't try that. It's actually a folder btw, with many small sized files inside. I just click on it, press delete and BSOD

I also discovered that the BSOD that happens randomly during boot up was cause by one of my software  Uninstalled it and no more BSOD so during boot up so far.

Is this why a lot of people like to bash Vista so much? :haha:

Some people don't face much problems. But I definitely do. A number of them in fact.

Apparently there were more problems than I expected. I only solved part of it :haha:

I still get BSODs (now even more) and seems like the OS has corrupted, it won't boot up properly unless I boot into safe mode. I never had any problems with Vista x86, but Vista x64 is really a nightmare :wall:

I switched back to WinXP for now

I just had more BSOD probably due to Matrix Storage Manager again.

Ah, I remember I installed that too before the whole OS totally fugged up :haha:

I'm going to try Vista x64 again without RAID 0 and see if I still get any BSODs.

You don't need to install that unless you are using AHCI or RAID mode.

It was running on RAID 0. I was still getting BSOD regardless of whether or not I installed that though...

Installed Vista x64 again on another HDD, without RAID 0 this time.

Yes of course. I don't think so...

Huh.. That's odd. I love Vista 64. It's so stable after I upgraded to SP1.

Hmm... Try using IDE/Compatible Mode instead of AHCI in the BIOS.

Problem is, I was already on IDE mode, but it still BSODed.

Try using the standard Vista driver? Don't use the Intel Matrix Storage driver?
