those are SRP prices, ask them how much lower they could go and usually they will quote a cheaper price can try this guy too https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showuser=122908
I bought the cheapest board in store on the same day knowing that I will be PC-less for a few weeks. Unless you are interested in my Asus H81M-C... But it is a surprisingly good budget board. More than sufficient.
not bad, it got everything anyone ever need to build a working pc haha in the list above my choice gigabyte gaming 7 looks like one awesome board with 8 digital phase, decnt quality, balance feature even comes with voltage check point and it's below RM600 no wonder i can the feel the force is strong in this board
Yup, Gigabyte definitely offers better value. But I'm not a big fan of Killer E2200. And I also don't mind sacrificing PWM, because it doesn't guarantee better overclocking. In theory, it just provides more stable voltage, and maybe longer life. That's why you will notice that most motherboard offers similar overclocking performances these days, usually limited by the processor itself, or the cooling.
for my budget upgrade its good enough, you get what you pay lol ok, im building this for my sis son i5 4690 Gigabyte H97N wifi 8gb 1600mhz ram sapphire vapor x R9 280X intel 530 120gb ssd WD blue 1TB CM elite 130 mitx casing seasonic M12II-620W 80plus bronze dell S2340L monitor good to go?
Z97X-SLI is a good choice as well. Comes with Intel LAN. Edit: Wow, I just noticed that this Sin guy could be Sin22 on this forum!
a waste of time, imagine showing all the technical thingy and people like me don't understand a thing asus just unveiled maximus VII impact and maximus VII formula, expensive boards that out of my reach lol
There are getting more news about Devil's Canyon. Looks like the previous claim about requiring Z97 to support is pretty much bull. So you can actually get the Z87 motherboards if you don't need SATA Express or M2 at even lower price.
I like the history of computers. Check this out, To see how far we have come. Birth of The Transistor: A video history of Japan's electronic industry. (Part 1) - YouTube
good news for those on Z87 motherboard, but really if i got a decent Z87 setup this news just doesnt bring any excitement and those enthusiast will probably get a new Z97 and the new DC anyway DC is coming real soon, not september as reported earlier..time to spend some money
