I can't wait to see SLI-certified keyboard and mouse! Well, in a way, that is a SLI-certified combo - you can't do without both a keyboard and a mouse!
Like the mouse and keyboard combo, we already have multi-monitor. We are just waiting for NVIDIA to "SLI" them!
yeah, marketing.. LOL makes you think SLI is the best. besides, OCZ partnered with Nvidia, Thats hwy you see so many OCZ products that are SLI-certified. example, my OCZ ram which is SLI-certified, they teamed up to product EPP (their extention to SDP) where they tighten the timing of the RAM at higher voltage. and my OCZ power supply, SLI-certified, no idea what it means yet. probably the requirement for SLI-certification is dual rail & 2 SLI connectors.
9600GT, I guess it's something like the 8800GS. I've seen Colorful 9800GT sold around RM400 near my place. Probably a good buy though.
LOL!!! Thanks for bringing the thread back on topic! We should split the discussion earlier to a separate SLI-Certified thread!
For what i'm thinking, either 9600 or 9800 are worth to buy, if you like SLI thing. Nvidia is still leading in GPGPU stuff and it has much more supporter (maybe due to their excellent marketing plan.) For what I like is their Multi-card SLI technology. That's mean you won't waste your 9600 if 1 days you got upgrade to Higher GC. quote: Card 1: Graphics rendering Card 2: Dedicated to PhysX acceleration Graphics card 2 is not required to have the same GPU as graphics card 1
Yup, you can SLI 2 cards, then run another additional card to fo PhysX acceleration too, eg. Card 1 9800GT - SLI Card 2 9800GT - SLI Card 3 9600GT - PhysX works with 8xxx and above.
That was the whole idea of SLI, but too bad, by the time you feel the need to upgrade, your card is probably obselete already
That's why the motherboard have to come with 3 / 4 PCI express slot. Then, we can put the Obsolete card to the empty slot to enhanced the High-end card.
