hi guys i have geted this ddr and i have problems i dont know why but ddr just dont wanna work on 1066 LOL we have tested it on Gigabyte x38 and Amd 770, abit & my asus mbo p35, x38 and we had same problem ddr2 modules just dont wanna work at 1066Mhz speed on any voltage all mother boards set it up on 800Mhz and when we try to set it up at 1066 system just hangs on it dont wanna boot what do you guys say on Buffalo 1066Mhz ddr moduls ?
Some of these modules might only work on certain chipsets. Check with the manufacturer if they are tested to work on which board. If not, ask for a replacement.
Actually, there's no official JEDEC spec on DDR2-1066. Hence, all 1066 MHz DDR2 memory modules are not certified for use on any DDR2 motherboard, unless specifically tested and certified to work on certain motherboards. You have to check with the motherboard manufacturer if they actually tested the Buffalo 1066 MHz DDR2 memory and certified it would work with the motherboard. Otherwise, it's really a matter of luck.
bro i have done that and i have spoken with some Buffalo guy from US and he told me it can happen that there was something wrong in that modules and he told me that Buffalo is support large numbers of mother boards but if you know me better you would know that i have allready orderd other modules well lets say OCZ Reaper 2x2Gb 1066 uhhhhh yeah and after small fight i geted discount uhhh ehehhehehehhe
I never heard of this brand before so I went on Newegg to look at their memory. Newegg.com - BUFFALO Firestix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory Holy shit why is this so expensive?
