I actually considered the 1TB... The black goes for $140 (RM 494). IMO, I would rather have 2 smaller drives 2x 640's for $150 US.

max, would you be able to provide some IOmeter test results?

webserver, workstation, 8k database, and fileserver. max queue let it be at 8 (1-2-4-8). cycling option -> last second one. can't remember its exact name.

am looking for total I/O, and average/max response time.

Yes I can definitely vouch for the Hd4870 1 gig card as I just installed my new one , Farcry2 look sweet....

 

it's okay. doesnt matter. i just want to have a quick glance at a 2x 640gb >300gb platter RAID 0 array performance.

Ahh... Sorry, the HDDs are not running in RAID 0 mode now
