This' a rather interesting topic, as there's a number of diff areas for discussion here, such as: - Misuse of the Law - Inability to innovate among aging dinosaurs - Intellectual Property and what its really for - DRM (yes or no) - etc.
Well, thankfully, the tentacles of the RIAA have not extended far beyond the shores of the USA. In all honesty, they are taking things too far with their lawsuits. What's the point in spending so much money to sue people. Why not take a cut in profit instead and reduce prices of music? That will cut down on piracy and encourage people to pay for their music.
