aiyo... some DVDs have different vid codec format or something.. so WinDVD can acutally play it cos it has better support. remember, for PCs all the DVD video decodings are doen thru software.. the best software so far in WinDVD... as for the 0 bytes problem.... sorry la. no cure. U think I wouldn't know meh??? I tried using WinDVD 3.5/4.0/platinum, PowerDVD 4/XP, NVDVD 1.7/2.0, even the built in player...same la...
Well I tried WinDVD last nite and it really works! Even though zero bytes in Explorer but WinDVD plays it perfectly! WinDVD even has its own built-in software DTS decoder Conclusion? WinDVD = David Copperfield...

back to topic, u'll hav to search... dun have to worry about software region cos u can easily reset windows one or players with utilities... but hardware.. u'll have to search RPC utilities to disable them accordingly...
yeah. i read that they embed into the hardware as well. all this while i thought they lock up windows region setting only.
