    Deepavali or Diwali is the Hindu Festival Of Lights. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course. :mrgreen:

    Yeah, Deepavali or Diwali is to celebrate the victory of good over evil. That's why they lit their houses and burn firecrackers to scare off the evil. :)

    Yeah, somehow they seem to know where to buy those firecrackers. In some place, they even hold competitions to see whose firecrackers are the loudest and can last the longest. :)
