PAX Prime was the perfect event for both virtual reality and gaming enthusiasts to interact with developers as well as the Valve and HTC Vive teams. The feedback from everyone was overwhelmingly positive as the excitement continues to grow for the HTC Vive.

    2015 UNITY AWARD

Tilt Brush, a virtual reality app that allows users to paint with lights was awarded with the Unity Awards for Best VR Experience. Powered by the HTC Vive, the app allows artists and aesthetic painters to fill their immediate surroundings through a variety of color and shapes.

    EGX 2015

HTC Vive was awarded the EGX Pick of the Week as recognition to one of the main highlights of EGX 2015. It was the first time in the UK that the public was able to try out the Vive VR experience. Special demonstration booths were also created to simulate an engaging environment for users to walk around and interact with objects using their own hands.

HTC Vive innovatively uses a first-of-its-kind motion tracking called Lighthouse technology which enables the Vive to function as a gyroscope, accelerometer and laser position sensors to track the users’ head movement as well as detecting where they’re looking at. The unique technology and sensors will track physical movements that allow users to get up, walk around and interact with virtual environment in real time.

With a limited quantity available for the HTC Vive, the headset device is expected to be released globally by the end of 2015. Stay tuned for more updates coming soon from HTC Vive!
