Malaysia Courier

    Im thinking about sending a digital camera to my sister in Australa - Adelaide from malaysia and im worried if the camera might be stolen on the way there and how does the courier charge me? distance ,the item's weight or wad?

    Generally it's based on both destination and weight/volume.
    Make sure you go with a reliable company, and/or look into the option of insurance cover on the item.

    Yeah, make sure you INSURE it. And note down for taxation purposes that it's a GIFT with no commercial value.

    Otherwise, your sister may get taxed for it. :wall:

    BTW, make sure you pack the camera inside its original box.

    And to make sure it survives the journey, pack the box inside a BIGGER box. Fill the box with foam bits and other packaging materials like bubble wrap. :thumb:

    Yeah best you insure it. I had heaps of issues before with Pos Malaysia even with EMS tracking and insurance.:wall:

    I don't know how good/bad Pos Malaysia is but if it's anything like AusPost, I'd rather go with a courier company that delivers 2 days late than trust it to AusPost which has a scary likelihood of either losing or damaging the package.

    Yeah, FedEx is way better than DHL. :hand:
