1. The busy Jonker Street, one of the most popular street in Malacca town. 2. Chicken rice ball shop 3. Chicken rice ball tasted really good, I had at least 10 of them. 4. Comes with chicken. 5. Whacked every single beads of rice! More to come!
6. The chicken rice ball shop 7. A misleading sign... 8. Jonker street from another angle 9. Cendol shop 10. Durian Cendol!
11. Some indoor decorations in the dessert shop 12. Old school design 13. Stadthuys 14. Stadthuys 15. Trishaw
16. Our hotel 17. A Famosa (sorry about the weird angle, too many people. And I'm not used to the 90% viewfinder...) 18. Capitol "Satay Celup" 19. The crowd... 20. Prepare to eat...
OMG... Are people actually queuing up at Capitol??? Honestly, I don't think it's really that great. Plus, it's quite dirty. Hahahaa... There are better places but for some reason, there's always a crowd there. Maybe it's the ambience.. Hehe.. BTW, if you like such stuff, there's an alley with 2-3 stores selling snails, cockles and taufus near the Tan Kim Hock store. Very nice actually... although I did get a stomach ache once.
Well, it's not surprising if there's a queue! Even I would want to find out what's so good... Hehe.. For some reason, everyone goes there, especially Singaporeans and tourists. Maybe it's the oldest place there.
After queuing up for 1/2 hour, we were told that's not the best place to go. But we were there for that long. So we just continued lining up.
i have been to that alley before. but i doubt chai will like it since its cockles, kangkung sotong and etc. me luves cockles!
Ah!! Strawroot, you know your way around town!! Yes! And snails too!! I've seen the supplier arriving at the alley in a motorcycle with a HUGE plastic bag of snails. I wonder where they got them from... I guess a farm somewhere cause Malaysia supplies France with escargot. It's dirty... but it's quite nice... and it's a real "experience". Hehehe... Just be prepared to "sit on your throne" after a visit.
the whole park is called pirate park, with the pirated eye-on-msia and the pirate ship, and the lights along the building
