Anyone else using GreaseMonkey? You can do things like add a delete button in Gmail, Yahoo Launch in WMP, Remove any about.com results from Google results, Make sure Gmail uses secure connection everytime, Hotmail single window, plus hundreds of other scripts and anything else you can come up with using DHTML. http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/ there's a script to disable IntelliTxt too.
using it now.....it's just firefox 1.1 alpha 1, a glorified nightly build as they call it.....still quite a lot of bugs, but yeah if you want to check it out try it....it rocks
firefox 1.0.4! i'll wait a bit for 1.1 to solve its problems first since its still in its testing phase. the "Sanitize" privacy feature looks promising. i know my colleagues at work would love this feature. especially when they do major browsings during work hours.
already got 1.0.4 installed it gave me a notice like 2 hrs ago about it. I love how they tell you when tehre is an update for it, unlike IE
well, give it a while....... deer park alpha 2(a.k.a. Firefox 1.1 Developer's Preview Alpha 2/Firefox 1.1 Alpha 2) will appear in around 1 months time bugs blocking FF1.1A2 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglis...me&type0-0-0=equals&value0-0-0=blocking1.8b3+
Here on the forums (on the new PC)... Every time the page loads I get a nice box that pops up and says.. Alert! (in window selection) message reads: The Document contains no data. Yet... the pages load. It is just very annoying. having to click ok for every page load.
Idiot, use that about:config command in the address line and go find that browser.xul thing Not to mention... make the pages load faster by doing the following: Find; network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true” Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true” Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0”.

The changes that need the most testing coverage are in how the UI widgetry works. Our preliminary testing doesn't turn up any issues, but patches similar to the ones we've recently taken in the 1.0.5 development builds have created some small bugs in out of the way places in the UI so please poke around and let us know if you find anything not working as it did in previous 1.0.x builds. http://mozilla.osuosl.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2005-06-20-04-aviary1.0.1/
Firefox Freeze Hi My boyfriend has the most recent version of Firefox and he's having a problem with it freezing. It's freezing about every 8 minutes or so and doesn't seem to be related to anything that he's doing. In his words, he'll be opening a site and the "loading" thing just goes round and round. Needless to say, he's very frustrated. Can anyone give any suggestions? He also uses Win XP Home, if you need that info. Thanks so much!
Is he having the problem with only one site, or maybe just a couple of sites? If so, what sites are they?
Hmm... Did this problem happen after he updated Firefox, using the automatic update option? BTW, has he tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it?
No, he hasn't. There are lots of things going on right now (not computer related), but I'll post back if a reinstallation doesn't work. Thanks for your help!
