This week's episode is got to be my favourite of the whole series. It has everything I wanted to see. Very funny jokes (as usual), Ferrari 612 race to Switz, Renault R24 F1 car!!!, classic race cars versus modern road car etc... Fantastic episode. But no car reviews though...
Yeah, he seemed like a seasoned F1 driver and it makes you wonder if he was one and I'm beginning to like intercontinental races cause it's so freaking funny and May will never run on TV. LOL
TG once reviewd the Kelisa... And May and Hammond liked it I loved this episode. Very funny and the races were funny. (=
Why Kelisa? Was it mentioned in this episode? The Kenari stunt was obviously fake, as the Stig was trying to do a scandinavian flick! But that Smart was obviously crap man... Stig definitely didn't push that F1 car to the limit, he was actually a lot slower than expected, he was quite slow at the 'followthru', with so much downforce, he should be WAY faster there... I think a very good lap should be at least 10sec faster, but considering that the track surface wasn't ideal, maybe another 5 secs or so?
The Kelisa was reviewd in an episode in May last year. 23/5/03 if i'm not mistaken. I have the video of that episode, thanks to Viper
Viper? You sure? It was ripped by JabbaWorld, and the only way to get them is eMule or from JW themselves. I have that episode also.
I bet you would! Mine only go back as far as 2002 Going back to the Renault R24, you could see when it went through Chicago that there wasn't alot of backend grip, and you see the the Stig putting on some opposite lock to balance th4e car out at the entrance to Chicago. This probably explains why he didnt go flat-out through the Follow Through, being unsure of grip levels. Besides, I doubt the renault engineers bothered too much with the setup, since it was just a TV publicity stunt Jeremy said that they fitted the MOnaco steering rack, so i guess they were running on MOnaco settings, which was a dry race.
Weee! http://www.finalgear.com/ (site not moved there yet) http://forum.finalgear.com/ We're working on a new design of the site: http://forum.finalgear.com/viewtopic.php?t=2058 Here's a recent concept that people, including me, seem to be liking: (Working on redoing the site is the main reason I haven't been here BTW, plus that with the contest going on, there's just too many threads for me to read daily. )
