What phone to get for a non-techie?

An RM90 Nokia phone will do. It's the simplest one among all. I still have it right here.

 

Sub 1k and easy to use and non techie eh.. kinda hard to give recommendation as phone these days are mostly smart phones already. What i have in mind are these 2:
LG Optimus One
Samsung Galaxy Ace

 

those are actualy middle range phone.
