I've been on a semi CD buying binge... o_0 Buy em, rip them into FLAC, put in my PC folder (for foobar playtime) and a copy on my Trekstor Vibez, then the CD will serve a tenure in my car. ATB - Seven Years (ATB is one of my fav for Trance) Creed - My Own Prison (I've always wanted their first album - have the other two minus their greatest hits - no need to get that one). Linkin Park - Meteora (I like Hybrid Theory better though - gonna go buy that tomorrow lol). Nirvana - Nirvana (what can I say, grunge at its best). I listen to a lot of music but my dominant genres are alternative (grunge, post-grunge) (notable favorites: Third Eye Blind, Creed, Nirvana, STP) and the really heavy stuff (Favs: the first three albums of KoRn, Rage Against the Machine, Dimmu Borgir, Killswitch Engage, yadaa yadaa yadaa). Apart from rock, trance sees a LOT of playtime with me...
Great collection you have. I like the Nirvana ones. Creed also. And this time I'm really hunting for good Baroque CDs in my place, but they are either darn expensive, or darn rare. I have the Jakob Lindberg Vivaldi's Lute Suites and the Trevor Pinnock's Golberg Variations. Looking forward to Glenn Gould's Brandenburg Concertos - his playing character is funny (there's a video too, B&W) but he's pretty serious, and he delivers the best music, even on the piano (Baroque music are all using Harpsichords at that time, solo or orchestra). John Williams' Guitar collection always amaze me. I have the Lute Suites (sony compilation) and the Baroque Guitar, all great listening.
A buddy of mine just gave me a copy of Nine Inch Nails: The Downward Spiral. Industrial at its very best right there!
Nice! I wish there was one here. Music scene here is pretty alive. It's just that I'm unaware of it most of the time...
You wouldn't believe the stream of bands we've been getting (and will be getting) recently...Slayer, Muse, DragonForce, Funeral for a Friend, Megadeth, Heaven & Hell, Dream Theater are coming back next year ( )...hopefully Iron Maiden will drop by in February, they'll be touring in the area Aside from all those top bands there's also the mainstream acts like Jet, Fall Out Boy (eugh), Black Eyed Peas, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, etc. The music scene here is becoming really exciting
Lately i'm listening a lot of: Snow Patrol - All songs from Eyes Open album, specially Chasing Cars Apoptygma Berzerk - In This Together And of course, stereophonics and all the other thousands of songs on the ipod.
