Happened to me as well. I thought I screwed up the keyboard only to notice that my brother poured milo into the keyboard JUST after I washed it.

I cleaned my logitech keyboard too after using it for 2 years. LOL! Actually I was thinking of putting silicon keyboard protector over since since most of my family members eat at the computer table on some occasions. Should I?

I would do that if I were you! :D

I've been using a silicon keyboard protector that comes with the keyboard and it has kept a lot of dust off. I know because I have to clean it pretty often.

The only downsides are that the silicon will stretch and become unsightly after some time, and moisture may accumulate under it. But functionally, it works just as well as it did on the very first day. :thumb:

But wouldn't those sillicon protector wear out and become sticky?

Anyway the best way is to wash them, 99.9% bacteria free

Err.. That's what I just said. It will stretch and become sticky from condensation collecting under it, but you can wash it... and even if it's stretched out, it will still protect the keyboard against dust and water. :thumb:

Btw where do you guys and girls get the sillicone protective sheet? They sell those in the computer stores?

They come with the keyboards for some of them.

Else you can get a generic protector which is just a flat silicon layer that you put over the keyboard.

There are some websites that sell made to fit silicon keyboard protector for laptop keyboard. Two types of material, TPU and Sillicon.

I prefer the silicon protector that fits the keys. It allows you to better feel the keys. That's why I prefer to buy keyboards that come with its own protector. :thumb:
