A couple of AMDs Well, hello everyone! Here's my first post and as a longtime AMD fan I've noticed there are way too few AMD processors listed in the 4.0 results. As a system builder I mainly build AMD based systems and like to test 'em on a regular basis with this nifty little benchmark. So I'd like to start off with a Phenom 1090T from right off the shelf - no overclocking or any funny stuff. And Turbo Core disabled, of course. It's averaging 72.48fps Results for x264.exe r1913 ========================== Pass 1 ------ encoded 1442 frames, 114.12 fps, 3913.31 kb/s encoded 1442 frames, 112.59 fps, 3913.31 kb/s encoded 1442 frames, 111.77 fps, 3913.31 kb/s encoded 1442 frames, 114.54 fps, 3913.31 kb/s Pass 2 ------ encoded 1442 frames, 31.66 fps, 3957.93 kb/s encoded 1442 frames, 31.75 fps, 3959.00 kb/s encoded 1442 frames, 31.67 fps, 3958.38 kb/s encoded 1442 frames, 31.74 fps, 3960.22 kb/s System Details -------------- Name AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Name NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1) Codename Thuban Codename G96 Specification AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1090T Processor Specification PC3-12800 Specification PC3-12800 Core Stepping PH-E0 Technology 45 nm Technology 65 nm Stock frequency 3200 MHz Core Speed 800.1 MHz Northbridge AMD 890FX rev. 02 Southbridge AMD SB850 rev. 40 CAS# latency (CL) 9.0 RAS# to CAS# delay (tRCD) 9 RAS# Precharge (tRP) 9 Cycle Time (tRAS) 24 Command Rate (CR) 2T Command Rate 2T Command Rate 2T Memory Frequency 800.1 MHz (1:4) Memory Type DDR3 Memory Size 4096 MBytes Channels Dual, (Unganged) Windows Version Microsoft Windows 7 (6.1) Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (Build 7601) Number of processors 1 Number of threads 6 Number of threads 6 (max 6) L2 cache 6 x 512 KBytes, 16-way set associative, 64-byte line size Instructions sets MMX (+), 3DNow! Can you explain to me why you publish the results from somebody who is interchanging the tools (x264 64 bit, for example) in your benchmark package?
From your last update: Added the Intel Core i5-2500K desktop processor (overclocked to 5.4 GHz). Added the Intel Core i5-2500K desktop processor (overclocked to 4.85 GHz). Both of these are x64 results. Just look closely at the posts from where you took the numbers. I don't want to be a troll but there are virtually no verifications about the software versions used, Avisynth, DGDecode, x264. This could easily be done with some lines of C/C++ code. It would also allow to remove the ridiculous check for Avisynth in the batch file. What if a user decides to install Avisynth to a different directory than the default?
